Kelli Ferrell Talks Divorce, Drama & Black Luxury on RHOA Season 16

Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is turning up the heat, and newcomer Kelli Ferrell is at the center of it all. The business-savvy beauty recently stopped by The Morning Hustle to dish on everything from her headline-making divorce to rekindling the glamor of Black luxury on reality TV.
Kelli didn’t hold back when it came to discussing her split from her husband of 11 years. She revealed she’s currently in the process of changing her name and stepping back into her identity before marriage. “It’s like rediscovering myself,” she shared. The transition has been deeply personal, especially with children in the mix and the added pressure of reality TV cameras capturing every moment.
Unlike many RHOA stars who’ve had to fight their way into the spotlight, Kelli says her experience joining the cast was surprisingly smooth. “I didn’t go through too much hazing,” she said, noting that she was one of the rare few who didn’t have to claw her way to a peach. “This season, we’re really trying to bring back Black luxury to the show”
Of course, a season of Housewives wouldn’t be complete without friendship fallouts and fiery drama. Kelli opened up about her strained relationship with fellow castmate Britney Eddie, saying the two knew each other before the cameras started rolling. Sadly, they’re no longer friends. “I never thought this show would come between us,” she admitted. With all the mic’d-up moments and behind-the-scenes whispers, she explained that not everything makes it to air.
Kelli also touched on her friendship with Porsha Williams, offering support as Porsha navigates her own public divorce. “I feel for her,” Kelli said. “Divorce is hard .”
When she’s not holding a peach or serving shade, Kelli is all about her business. She’s the proud owner of several successful Nanas chicken and waffles restaurants and has been in the food game for eight years. But success hasn’t come without challenges—she addressed some ongoing legal issues surrounding the opening of her next location, hinting that she’s handling it with grace and hustle.
In a lighter moment, Kelli dished on a Bible-inspired confrontation with Drew Sidora at a Beaumont event—and let’s just say, it was giving holy shade. And yes, she addressed that Drew-and-Dennis rumor. “Do I believe it? Let’s just say… I wouldn’t be surprised,” she teased.
As for what’s next? Kelli revealed she’d love to see OG Queen Kenya Moore return to the franchise and even gave Lo a little insight into her type of man—although she kept it coy. “A man of God,” she laughed.
Between the personal growth, business grind, and on-camera chaos, one thing is clear: Kelly Pharrell is making her mark on Atlanta, one episode at a time.
