Mo Williams Retiring From Both the Cavs and Basketball

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –
The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without Mo Williams this season.
Cavs GM David Griffin told reporters Monday that the SG/PG’s agent called and told them that Mo is retiring.
Before returning to Cleveland, Williams spent three seasons with the Cavaliers from 2008-2011, where he averaged 16.2 points, 5.1 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 33.6 minutes and was selected a 2009 NBA All-Star.
He signed a two year deal for $4.3 million last season and took over duties for Kyrie Irving while he worked to come back from a season-ending injury. Dealing with knee issues himself, Williams was limited to 41 regular-season games, averaging 8.2-points.
